Weight Loss by Diet Pills- Is it safe?

Friday, December 12th, 2008

The bug of getting rid of overweight is hit the general public like a fad. Weight loss programs are making good money and are promoting themselves from every way possible! Although many people succeed in reducing their weight, many others do not do so convincingly.

Weight Loss

This is when people start to quit natural methods of weight loss and take shelter in artificial methods of weight loss. Frankly, it’s partly due to the frustration of not being able to reduce weight and partly due to this extreme obsession towards weight loss!

Artificial methods of weight loss includes surgeries like liposuction, colon cleansing, intake of supplements, diet pills etc. A major question posed here is – are the diet pills safe? The answer, I am afraid, isn’t a straight one. Many of the diet pills are considered safe, but many have records of side effects on consumers.

Not just the diet pills taken but even other factors like food intake after consuming the diet pill may have a side effect on the consumer. So, it would be hard to arrive on a conclusion, at least not without adequate medial/pharmaceutical knowledge. The solution lies in consulting a physician before consuming any diet pill.

Information on Menstrual Cramp Explained

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Life seems determined to constantly throw up new types of pain if you are woman. Some women only start to really suffer with menstrual cramps (the bane of many women) when they enter their menopause. For women who unfortunately have endometriosis (around 10 percent of women do) or even PCOS then the situation just gets worse. Some sail through the day with minor discomfort, while others are doubled over in pain and don’t feel like getting out of bed that morning for anything.

Relief from this pain is something many women search for but it needs to be consistent. One of the most common types of comes in the form of a pill and many women swear by it. You can try any pain relief remedy and they should work but many women swear by Pamprin which was designed just for this reason. Many women won’t take any form of pain relief but if you are one of those women maybe it is time you started to think about it.

Perhaps you feel that you’re meant to experience this stomach pain but that isn’t the case. What’s worse is that you may have more than just the cramps to contend with, you may experience a bloated feeling and nausea too. Eventually I came to the conclusion that I would need to find a reliable menstrual cramp relief remedy to get rid of those pains each cycle. There were times I thought my stomach was being crushed while others there was little discomfort at all!

Recently I started using a heat pad which a friend suggested I try and has worked with some success at easing the discomfort although I do have to vary where I place it for effectiveness; sometimes on my stomach and other times on my back. This might be something you want to try if you have found that pain relief pills are not the route you want to go. While these ideas may be ok for some women, others that have regular painful menstrual cramps each month may need to do something more permanent. Where this is causing a problem with attending work each cycle, you may forced into finding something to help before you find yourself seeking other employment.

You can’t just let it go on every month so it may be wise to speak to your doctor and see what ideas he may have on helping menstrual cramp. They may have options you have not considered, so if you aren’t currently on the Pill, this may be something you want to try because for many women, being on the Pill reduces or even eliminates their cramps. Obviously this would be a stupid option if you are trying for a baby but there will be other remedies you doctor can prescribe to help the cramp you feel each cycle. It may take some trial and error but you will find a remedy eventually.
